When entrepreneurs tell me passionately about their business I get inspired and ideas for the promotion of their company start to flow. My pragmatic and hands-on approach is what people often appreciate when working with me. At the same time I feel the need to understand the core of an organization and why they do what they do.
I feel very passionate about everything that has to do with PR and marketing communication, and what excites me is that social media enable what PR has always been about: establishing meaningful and long-term connections with people and companies that are relevant to your success.
In 2013 I started PRminded and I am pleased to have worked with a variety of companies & entrepreneurs since then. Clients include Coleman Borg, Dutch Centre, East Asia Business, Eco Outdoor, GreenBadger, Intercultural Business Improvement, Mediquill and Tal Men Standing.
Passionate about PR
Communication comes natural to me: I enjoy connecting with others, translation people’s passion & expertise into inspiring and educational content, tweaking messages to make them more relevant and to-the-point, and looking for ways to tell and pitch a story. That’s why I have worked for over 15 years in marketing communications and in PR, both on the agency and client side. It is a field that I am passionate about, that makes me tick and lets me grow as a person.
In those 15 years I have helped companies and entrepreneurs in IT, mobile technology, tourism, education, kitchen accessories, and even a fire brigade, to better promote their products and services to their target groups. Customers and companies I worked for include, amongst others, Booking.com, CMG, Logica, Syntens and Stafford & Chan Training.
Teaching and training people comes natural to me as well. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping others to excel. That’s why I have worked for many years in Higher Education. I have been lucky enough to work with students from all over the world, at universities in Singapore, the Netherlands and in the UK.
As I child growing up in the Netherlands, I dreamt of travelling and going to foreign places. Throughout my career I have grabbed each opportunity that came by to experience life and work overseas. That’s why I had summer jobs in Hungary and Spain, took a sabbatical to travel through Southeast Asia, called Singapore home for 6 years and worked in London for 2 years. Living and working abroad has given me a broader perspective on life and has enriched me as a person.
Next to work, family, friends and traveling I have an interest in running, yoga and meditation. It helps me to live the moment and to keep my feet on the ground.
